Soil’s backspace gallery presents 3x3, an exhibition of new generative artworks by artists Ed Lisieski, Jeff Brice and Genevieve Tremblay. All three artists share rule-based procedures that allow for improvisation, experimental feedback loops and randomization.
Ed Lisieski explores a personal visual geometry and expressionism, influenced and shaped by his experiences. Jeff Brice is mapping new possibilities through open-ended inquiry, using neural networks and AI applications. Genevieve Tremblay crafts and synthesizes kaleidoscopic views of the natural world, revealing new, unseen combination of fixed states.
From analog painting to generative digital tools, their individual processes and abstracted imagery serve as the bonding agents in this exhibition.
