Chris Buening was diagnosed with arthritis in his left hand from overuse a year ago and had to take a break from working in clay for a while. 

Because of this, he went back to drawing/painting -with an occasional ceramic sculpture here and there. 

Chris stuck with his penchant for heads/portraiture of weird creatures and strange beings. “It was never planned; I just start drawing or sculpting and see what weirdness results!”
