In Cordillera Claire Johnson continues her focus on the patterns and colors of topographic landscape.  The exhibition will feature recent paintings of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, a segment of the North American Cordillera.  A cordillera refers to an extensive overlapping and parallel chain of mountains, in this case part of the western backbone of the Pacific Ring of Fire.
