Search for Landscapes

March 03 – 27, 2010

This collaborative installation explores the ideas of travel and transformation of landscape through representation and conditions of seeing. The "Search for Landscapes" project develops around a group of found vintage slides, which depict one family's travels around the world in the 1960s. While looking into materiality and physicality of these objects, the artists are also exploring the history of travel, visual tourism, and the relationship we have to the culture and history of particular tourist sites.
