In The Backspace

Ko Kirk Yamahira

October 04 – 27, 2018
Reception / Thursday, October 04, 6–8pm

I see myself and work as points within the cycle of deconstruction and reconstruction. I deconstruct the canvas to reconstruct it in 2½ dimensions and stay continually active repeating this process. Days spent in the repetition of this themselves constitute points. Successively repeated, these points form lines; and the lines, loops. Emergent answers may be fixed at a given moment but within the cycle are indeterminate and ever changing. They may constitute answers, and, discovering what prompted them may offer the fascination of discovering the formerly new unknown.
