adrift: Constructs

July 03 – August 02, 2014
Reception / Thursday, July 03, 6–8pm
Panel Discussion / Saturday, July 05, 12pm

“Ours are not eyes accustomed to a submerged perspective. We are in the flood now, moved by a distant gravity, a plural totality reflecting its surface limitations.”

Local artist Pete Fleming, and Oslo-based Richard Alexandersson, present new works drawn from extensive collaborative research and conversation. Forming an attempt to stimulate a language residing between subjective constructs, a video and mixed media installation occupies the main gallery space.

In addition to the exhibition there will be a panel discussion on the themes brought up in the work at 12 noon, Saturday July 5th. Featuring Robert Mittenthal, Aeron Bergman and Alejandra Salinas of INCA Seattle/Detroit, and the artists – Richard Alexandersson and Pete Fleming.

Supported by the Norwegian Arts Council.
