"my mother my father"
december 2 - 26, 2004

a theater installation by dk pan in collaboration with inphase prod & chris engman

The SOIL Art Gallery will be turned into a theater for the duration of December by artist dk pan. The project entitled, "my mother my father" is about the bridging of dichotomies and pursuing the personal as source of meaning. Combining the black box theater with the white cube gallery, dk designs a 'white box' theater incorporating materials such as salt and rice, setting the stage for works on video by the artists listed below, as well as three weekends of performances including butoh, dance, theater, and poetry. Each one of the artists expresses the personal as they explore their own relationship to the mother / father theme.
